Mental Health is different for everyone- Remedies for all ages and illnesses

Being able to discuss mental health with others is a very positive process. Dispite how hard it may seem, being aware and open to discussing this complicated but crucial part of life is extremely beneficial to every single human being.

Tame My Anxiety Monster Review

It is never too early to start explaining and emphasizing the importance of mental health and wellness. As I said, mental health can affect people of all ages positively or negatively. Therefore, it is important even for children to be aware of mental health in a way that makes sense to them. That is exactly what How To Tame My Anxiety Monster does.

This book does an amazing job at explaining the difficult concept of anxiety, the most common form of mental illness, in an understandable and optimistic way. Everyone has anxiety, and I do mean everyone. This book illustrates that point in a child friendly way so amazingly because it shapes anxiety as a monster that you do not have to be afraid of. Since it is not very practical to actually discuss the topic of mental health and anxiety with young children this illustrative book does that work for you without it actually feeling like work. On top of that, it encourages young children to read, which could not be more important. Even with young children it is so important to have a clear head and a clear understanding of how hard life can be, but to understand even more that there is always light at the end of the tunnel.

Anxiety Relief For Teens Review

Now being a teenager or an emerging adult is full of difficult and confusing times. This is a perfect recipe for anxiety. College, not knowing their future, wanting independence but not knowing how to get there, and countless more endeavors raise a teens anxiety. This is shown through Anxiety Relief for Teens: Essential CBT Skills and Mindfulness Practices to Overcome Anxiety and Stress.

CBT, or cognitive behavioral therapy, is a proven scientific step-by-step process that attempts to understand the deeper reasons behind anxiety and other mental health issues. Due to this book being so geared to teens and young adults, it refers to school, starting a career, continuing higher education, and much much more. This book goes above and beyond to give teens and their parents and families all of the tools necessary to work together to lead more happy lives. Being a teenager is so so difficult. You are not an adult so your freedoms are limited, but you are not a kid so you are expected to contribute. All this while still being in school and trying to find who you are and who you will be. Managing all of that resulting anxiety is so important to do. This book takes all of those aspects of a teenagers young life and puts it into perspective beautifully.

Good Vibes, Good Life Review

Life is short, but life is also long. Now being a child and teenager might feel like forever sometimes, but once you are an adult, you are an adult forever. Therefore, the art of loving yourself is not only something that not many people have achieved, it is so difficult to achieve because all we want to do is do better. So how do we as adults balance this? Good Vibes, Good Life: How Self-Love Is the Key to Unlocking Your Greatness leads the way.

The passion that this book shows is absolutely incredible. Being able to look at whatever storm is coming or has came or is upon you now and say “I got this”, “Life is good”. Something so simple can really make a huge difference. This book actually walks you through everything that other books just tell you to figure out. It sounds simple to just love yourself, to just be happy, to just keep moving forward and learn from the bad days. It just is not that simple. That is the whole point of this book; to tear apart the stigma of mental health and show the difficulties of life for what they are. And this book shows how to deal with them throughout your adult life and how to impart that knowledge to your peers.

  2. Hi! I have not read this book before, but from the information you have provided, I personally think that it’s worth reading. I also never realized that even children can experience anxiety. I think this is one of the best articles I’ve read, and I am glad I came across it. I will be getting myself a copy of this book so that I can be fully enlightened when it comes to the issue of anxiety. Thanks for shariong.

  3. Giving kids proper solutions and means from an early age to deal with their distress is really important. The point of raising kids is preparing them for adulthood. If they aren’t taught and allowed to deal with distress in a healthy way at a young age then there is a higher risk that they might suffer from mental issues in adulthood. Also, this might lead to them getting stuck in vicious circles of dangerous pathological and compulsive behaviours (like addictions) as a means of coping.

    • Beautifully said. Thank you so much for your enlightening comments. The tricky part always is that everyone ticks a little bit differently so while the concepts are basically the same as you so eloquently stated every child, teen, and adult will have slightly different thought processes. It is these difficult conversations that must be had for people of all ages and having the proper solutions and means as you said is absolutely vital.
