Sports are known to bring people together. Even if you might not be a sports fan, being able to be active and do an activity that everyone can do together is something special. I remember being a young kid and wanting to be able to fit in with the other kids. At recess, everyone would be playing some kind of organized activity or sport. The coolest thing about playing sports for me was the memories and friendships that were created from them. Sports and mental health can play off each other in so many different ways.

When you think of sports you think of basketball, football, baseball right? Well, there are so many different activities that you can try to simply let off steam. A sport, to me, is an athletic activity that requires you to exert energy and effort. There are so many different avenues that playing sports opens up because it can be a great way to try something new. Sports obviously can also improve your physical health, which in turn can have a positive effect on your mental health.
